Brewer’s Update! What’s on tap, in the tanks, and on deck…

Hello out there in beer land! Time for a rundown on the draft line-up both current and future! Getcha popcorn and peanuts, we’re going into extra innings…

NEW on tap!

Forever Locked Lager is a Vienna-style lager brewed with domestic malts and noble hops. A portion of all proceeds benefit NH’s ‘Forever Locked Moose’ charities www.foreverlockedmoose.org including land preservation and a scholarship fund for outdoor education. 4.5%

Jack Wallace Maple Porter is a dark ale brewed with 300 gallons of maple sap in place of water. Flaked barley and flaked wheat lend a full mouthfeel and body. Maple sap generously donated by Jack Wallace of Grantham, NH. 7%

Foeder Three is the last in our series of foeder aged farmhouse ales. Pale straw hued with a subtly sweet finish. Brewed with French pilsner malt, a touch of wheat and honey from ‘Honey’ Doug Putnam from Lempster, NH. Mixed culture fermentation including several Brettannomyces strains. 8.9%

Blueberry Wheat is an American wheat ale brewed with pilsner malt, domestic wheat, German Perle hops and 150 pounds of blueberry puree! She’s got a wicked purply color! 4.8%

Wild KONG! Russian Imperial Stout aged for two months in Kentucky bourbon barrels. Re-fermented with 2 strains of wild yeast and Lactobacillus. Re-aged on Vanilla beans. Dark and slightly tart with a powerful first impression. 10%

On deck in fermenters:

Devil’s Lettuce Double IPA is a collaborative effort brewed with Ben from Elm City Brewing in Keene. Comprised of English Maris Otter, white wheat and crushed hemp seeds and enormously, staggeringly, stupendously, tremendously, hugely hop-bursted with Centennial, Chinook, Columbus and Simcoe! It’s gonna be a stinky one! 7.4%

Biere De Garde was recently transferred back into the fermenter for conditioning after aging for several months in French oak Pinot Noir barrels. Biere De Garde is a moderately malty French Lager whose name translates to ‘beer for keeping’. ABV yet to be determined but certainly over 8%.

Gooseberry Wit is my personal most anticipated upcoming beer! A very pale hued, Belgian style witbier brewed with domestic barley and red wheat with 100 pounds of gooseberry puree! Gooseberry is a tart green fruit with some weird hairs on it and it smells like tobacco until you put it in beer whereupon it undergoes a magical rebirth and smells intensely tropical while retaining its tartness! YUM! ABV TBD but should be around 5.2%

Warming up in the bullpen:

Cascade hopped rye IPA brewed with domestic pale malt. I was thinking of adding tangerines to the fermenter but nothing is set in stone. I haven’t even written the recipe so don’t get excited yet.

KONG! Is currently aging in Jack Daniels barrels and we should be transferring it soon, ~10%

There’s a Belgian-style Dubbel aging in the foeder brewed with French malt, golden raisins and dark candi sugar.

Our second lambic-style beer is ready to be transferred any time now. Tentatively titled ‘Mild Anxiety’, she’s a sour little tart!

Foeder One is a saison brewed with French barley, spelt and select European hops, fermented with a French saison yeast and aged in NH’s first foeder. 6.4%

Foeder Two is a farmhouse ale brewed with French barley, spelt and select European hops, fermented with a French saison yeast and brettannomyces. 7.8%
