Starting as a home brewer because he thought it seemed “cool” to make your own beer, Rik Marley entered the brewing world without knowing it would one day contribute to his biggest professional accomplishments (with many more anticipated). While working as an Assistant Brewer at the Woodstock Inn and Italian Oasis simultaneously, he attended the American Brewer’s Guild, which offers a craft brewer’s apprenticeship program and education in intensive brewing science and engineering.
Rik came to us in September of 2009 with more passion in his pinky for making beer than most of us do for our daily jobs. Marley shows great dedication to the art of brewing and his creativity has led us down untouched paths like brewing our first lager, a potato beer, and Oak Barrel aged ales.
Rik continues to expand our draft selection experimenting with different styles, aging techniques, and a wide array of flavors. He continues to have as much passion today as when he first started brewing professionally in 2005, and that passion reflects in every single beer that he brews. Don’t be shy, stop by for an informal tour while Rik is around, or keep an eye out for him at the bar as he tends to make sporadic appearances in order to evaluate customer’s satisfaction with his products!
Since 1996 we have been providing our customers with finely handcrafted brews of all different styles and flavors. Starting with 3 of our own brews on draft at a time, we have grown quite a bit since then now offering up to 17 handcrafted brews on tap accompanied by our very own Root Beer. Using seasonal ingredients and local products, we have developed a wide array of brews to please anyone’s taste buds. We have made it a yearly ritual to harvest our own hops that grow through the summer month’s right outside of our dining room, a great addition to our already captivating view of Mt. Kearsarge.
Flying Goose brews are available on tap in our brew pub and also available for purchase in 32oz and 64 oz growlers to go. We typically have 17 different styles on draft at any time and keep an eye out for our seasonal selection.
