GOOSE AWARDED "SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS OF THE YEAR!"
The New London Energy Committee (“NLEC”) is pleased to award its first “Sustainable Business of the Year” award to the Flying Goose Brew Pub & Grille. Over the past year, Tom Mills, owner of the Flying Goose, embarked on a carefully crafted strategy to reduce the energy consumption and carbon footprint of the restaurant and micro-brewery. Jack Harrod, Chair of the NLEC, noted “Tom pursued a truly exemplary approach to energy saving, reducing the energy consumption of the Flying Goose before then turning to renewable power generation to help further reduce the brew pub’s consumption of fossil fuels.”

3RD ANNUAL "NAME THE BREW" CONTEST
Our Brewmaster, Rik, has concocted another beer for our customers to name! This year's iteration of the 'Name the Brew' is a Standard American Lager. Brewed in the style of 'yellow' beers, which just so happened to win a blue ribbon in 1893. 'Name the Brew' is an unfiltered lager with a VERY LOW hop/malt presence and very light body. Brewed with 60% domestic 6-row barley and 40% domestic brown rice, it has a subtle residual rice sweetness due to lack of filtration.

THE GOOSE IS SUNNY SIDE UP!
We've gone Solar!
Recently we added solar panels to our roof and became the first solar powered brewery in NH! Now our solar photovoltaic ("PV") array system is complete and will power an estimated 25% of our electricity usage.
